Relieved of the Rainbow

Using awareness as the path,
no journey is necessary:
nothing to pick up
nothing to put down,
nowhere to go
no place to stay.

When, through lack of understanding,
that which is primordially present
seems to require a forward look
or a backward glance
one makes needless effort.

Nowhere to go, pure and spontaneous,
things in their effortless state:
relieved of the rainbow
of self and other.
