This magnificent edition was done up as a labor of love by Padma Publishing -- Chagdud Tulku's people. You know the old thing about, "if you were on a deserted island, and you could only have one book...?" Well, this is definitely the book.
A beautifully done, small volume, somewhat larger than pocket size (depends on the pocket, I know) that you can keep for yourself or give away as a gift. Choying Dzod is also used as a support on altars, and is often read for dying Dzogchen masters. This latter use reinforces the idea that mere possession of this book is a sublime blessing.

It is a must!! Even if you feel you are not worthy or ready to understand this text, simply having it on your altar will create a very auspicous connection for your future understanding. It is alive with the blessing of the Buddhas. It never fails to amaze and inspire!
By "source verses" I assume they mean the root text. So it doesn't include the commentary. But is it in English or in Tibetan? Is the English the same as the translation Padma has already published?
Yes, this is the Richard Barron translation into English. No longer available in the trade book format, but the commentary still is (these are the ones with the blue dust jackets).
